Replacing your generator's air filter is one of the most important and easiest things you can do to extend the life of your small engine. having a dirty air filter could cause lack of air of a Essentially, if your small engine air filter is clogged, your generator can't breathe, and that can cause poor engine performance. The 3 main types of small engine air filters arepleated paper,foam, anddual element air filters.
A particulate air filteris a device composed of fibrousmaterials which removes solid particulatessuch as dust, pollen, mould, and bacteria from the air. A chemical air filter consists of an absorbentor catalystfor the removal of airborne molecular contaminants such as volatile organic compoundsor ozone. Air filters are used in applications where air quality is important, notably in building ventilationsystems and in engines.
How to Change an Air Filter
1. Loosen cover screw.
2. Tilt cover down.
3. Carefully remove air filter
4. Install new air filter
5. Close cover.
6. Tighten screw securely.

"HOW TO REMOVE CARBON PILE UPS FROM EXHAUST PORT AND MUFFLER"

Exhaust port is a passage through which the burnt mixture is passed out from the combustion chamber. it is located differently in different engine cyles. In a two stroke generator it is underneath the engine block while in a four stroke generator it is located on the left hand part of the cylinder. The exhaust muffler is connected to the port to reduce the sound from the generator and also to expel the harmful gas coming out from the engine. Mostly in two stroke engines; carbon usually piles up both at the exhaust port and inside the muffler thereby causing low RPM. In power generators this brings about low current.
