HOW DO I DIFFERENTIATE A FOUR STROKE ENGINE FROM A TWO STROKE ENGINE?

In our previous post, we talked about the different type of engine cycles we have although inventors have been inventing hybrids such as combining four stroke and two stroke. We will be disscusing on how to differentiate FOUR STROKE ENGINES FROM TWO STROKE ENGINES. In Four stroke engines the lubricating oil(Engine oil) is poured in the crankcase directly to where the crankshaft is located. The four stroke engine also uses poppet valves and intake and exhaust valves. In the Two stroke engine the fuel is mixed together with a specific amount of oil and then poured in the tank, The carburetor is directly bolted to a valve. Two-stroke engines are found in equipment that requires a lower level of power, such as chain saws, model planes and dirt bikes. Two-stroke engines fire during each revolution, and four-stroke engines fire every other revolution. A standard four-stroke engine must sit upright to function properly, but a two-stroke engine operates in any position, Thats why

"Four stroke engines & Two stroke Engines"

There are two type of engine cycles: FOUR-STROKE ENGINE or FOUR CYCLE ENGINE which completes a power cycle with four strokes; a)intake stroke- when fuel & air mixture is taken into the engine through the intake valve. b)compression stroke- when the piston compresses the air fuel mixture through the up stroke c)combustion stroke- during the up stroke the spark plug ignites the compressed air fuel mixture d)exhaust stroke- the piston is pushed down and the burnt mixture in the engine is passed out through the exhaust port.. TWO-STROKE ENGINE or TWO CYCLE engine is a type of internal combustion engine which completes a power cycle with two strokes (up and down movements) of the piston during only one crankshaft revolution. In a two-stroke engine, the end of the combustion stroke and the beginning of the compression stroke happen simultaneously, with the intake and exhaust (or scavenging) functions occurring at the same time. Examples of two stroke engine: lawn mowers, smal

Is your generator nt responding? Here's a quick easy tip to check if your ignition system is still functioning.. PRIME THE ENGINE: how is this done? by opening the carburetor cover and pouring in a little fuel in it. Then try starting again, if it starts then goes off again then you have a carburetor problem..check out my previous post on how to service your carburetor.. If the Generator did not start atall then the ignition coils are faulty..loosen the plug, connect it to the starter coil(the one that goes to the plug). Pull the starter rope,it'll be free be careful not to touch the plug's tip to avoid electrocusion..move the tip of the plug close to any part of the gen's body(alumminum parts) and start gently..check for sparks if there's none, change the plug and try again..when yu get a spark tighten back the plug and start your generator.. But if there's still no spark the ignition system is faulty.. Contact sam's workshop at +2349034503380 OR se

Portable Generator Repair Tip: Air Another important element to proper small engine operation is air delivery. If air is not entering the combustion chamber, the fuel will fail to ignite. The most common problem is a clogged air filter. A dirt air filter will cause your engine to run rough or not start at all. Replace or clean (if it isn’t too dirty) your air filter to keep your engine running tip top.
