More On HardStarting

Hi everyone, we still gonna be looking at more causes of generator hard starting. Another thing to watchout for is a free passage of fuel going from the fuel tank to the careburetor; if fuel is not going to the carburetor, then you could draw the generator for years without getting a response...
Now lets get down to work, but if you don't know how a generator works i'll suggest you check out my previous post on how generator works!!!
HOW TO CHECK FOR FUEL BLOCKAGES.
firstly remove the pipe conneted to the tap that is fitted to the tank, ON the tap(turning it down vertically). if the fuel is running freely then that's not what's causing the generator to hard start, now connect the pipe back to tap.
But if the fuel is not running freeely or not at all, then you need to loosen the tap. i start this process by first loosening the four(4) bolt of the tank....Now if it's a small generator there will be 4 bolts but for big Generators  it'll be six(four on top& two by the left side). Usually the bolts are size 10/8 spanner sizes, either one of the two spanner size will loosen it.
After loosening the tank, underneath it where the tap is located, at the top of the tap you'll see a nut  that tightens the tap (usually a 14/17/21 size spanner) according to the size of the generator, make sure to bend the tank backwards(opposite direction of where the tap is located to avoid fuel spillage). loosen the nut in an anti clockwise direction be careful not to break the tap. if there's fuel in the tank get a container and turn it in. Now pour a little back in, shake the tank as in washing the tank and pour out dirts...sometime the tap might  be dirty...loosen the nut under the tap remove dirt and tighten back in...put everything back in place just follow this post from top and you'll do it ....after you've tighteen all parts back, try starting....
place your comments below if you have an problems carrying out this process..
