"REPLACING GASKESTS IN YOUR ENGINE"

A gasket is a mechanical sealwhich fills the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression.
Gaskets allow"less-than-perfect"mating surfaces on machine parts where they can fill irregularities. Gaskets are commonly produced by cutting from sheet materials.
Gaskets are normally made from a flat material, a sheet such as paper, rubber, silicone, metal, cork, felt, neoprene, nitrile rubber, fiberglass, polytetrafluoroethylene(otherwise known as PTFE or Teflon) or a plastic polymer(such as polychlorotrifluoroethylene)..
Let's talk more on the cylinder head gasket.
If the gasket is bad in an engine for instance you'll notice air leaking out from the cylinder when you draw the engine. To confirm, Pour little fuel ontop of where the cylinder is connected to the block and start, you'll notice bubbles. This is a major cause of HARD STARTING, loosen the cylinder bolts and change gasket..i change my gaskets anytime i service my engine
